1. What is included in the lake house and What type of toiletries do you provide?
We provide a "Starter Kit" of supplies, such as garbage bags, toilet paper, soap, paper towels, dishwasher detergent and dish soap. If your stay is longer than a couple of nights, you will need to pack extra supplies or purchase them somewhere during your stay. The lake house is also supplied with bed linens and towels, and a well equipped kitchen.
Although the lake house does have towels, we do ask that you bring beach towels to use at the lake and not take the house towels to the lake.
2. Does the lake house have “seasonal lake frontage” or year around?
The lake house is in a cove and may not get lake access until the lake is full – usually in April or May and running through September or October. During drought situations or off season, you’ll need to check for current lake levels
3. Do you provide Charcoal for the grill?
No, we DO NOT provide charcoal, lighter fluid or other items you may need to start the charcoal grill. It’s the responsibility of each guest to provide their own Charcoal.
4. How large is Douglas lake?
Douglas Lake is a 44,000 acre reservoir managed by the Tennessee Valley Authority (TVA) and it has more than 550 miles of shoreline.
5. Are there boat rentals on the lake or can we bring our own boat?
Yes, you can bring our own boat. There are several public boat ramps and marinas located on Douglas lake. You can also rent boats and other watercraft from several area marinas.
6. What do we need to make a reservation?
We require a deposit of fifty (50%) percent of the total to reserve. The balance is due 14 calendar days prior to your arrival. We accept Visa/MC/Discover and American Express.
10. What is your minimum night stay?
The lake house has a minimum 2 night stay (excluding holidays). There is a 3 night minimum for holidays.
11. Where is the lake house in relation to Dollywood, Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg?
The lake house is located on the north side (Dandridge area) of Douglas lake and is approximately 40 minutes from Pigeon Forge/Dollywood and Gatlinburg
12. Can you fish in this lake and is a license required?
Yes, there is some great fishing on Douglas Lake and there are several different species of fish found throughout Douglas lake. A license is required to fish in Tennessee is you’re over 13 years of age. Please visit the TWRA website for all of the details, requirements and to even buy your license.
13. What is your cancellation policy?
A MINIMUM SEVENTY-FIVE DOLLAR ($75.00) CANCELLATION FEE WILL BE CHARGED TO THE CREDIT CARD WE HAVE ON FILE FOR ALL CONFIRMED RESERVATIONS THAT ARE CANCELLED. RESERVATIONS FOR :
ONE (1) AND TWO (2) BEDROOM CABINS MUST BE CANCELLED AT LEAST FOURTEEN (14) CALENDAR DAYS PRIOR TO THE CHECK IN DATE IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A REFUND, MINUS THE $75.00 CANCELLATION FEE.
THREE (3) OR MORE BEDROOMS MUST BE CANCELLED AT LEAST THIRTY (30) CALENDAR DAYS PRIOR TO THE CHECK IN DATE IN ORDER TO RECEIVE A REFUND, MINUS THE $75.00 CANCELLATION FEE.
THERE IS NO CHARGE FOR CHANGING RESERVATION DATES AS LONG AS THE DATE CHANGES ARE MADE WITHIN THESE SAME TIME PERIODS. THERE WILL BE NO REFUNDS WHATSOEVER FOR NO SHOWS, BAD WEATHER, LATE ARRIVALS OR EARLY DEPARTURES.
NO, unfortunately pets are not allowed at the lake house.
